Pickup window
60–90 minutes in the core city. For Whitefield, Sarjapur Road, Electronic City Phase 2, Kengeri and Yelahanka we ask for a 2-hour window — those runs cross the worst of the Outer Ring Road, and we would rather quote honestly than miss a slot. Late-night and pre-dawn pickups are normal here, not a favour.
Direct or coordinated?
Direct. Our own agent collects, packs at your address, and books the parcel into DTDC. You get the AWB on WhatsApp the same session — including at 2 AM, because the desk is staffed. For gated apartments and tech parks, give us the tower and flat or the block and floor; riders are stopped at the security cabin otherwise and that is where most delays on a Bengaluru pickup actually happen.

Citywide pickup at no charge, at any hour. The shipment itself is billed normally — surface from ₹120/kg, express from ₹180/kg, before fuel surcharge and GST.
Parcels under 5 kg
A small fee covers the pickup leg on light parcels. If you are near HSR Layout it is often quicker to drop it at our desk, or at any DTDC counter — but if convenience matters more, we will come.

One Bengaluru-specific tip: always put the recipient's mobile on the AWB. Most of this city — and most of where it ships to — is gated apartments and tech-park receptions where the rider calls from the gate, and a parcel that cannot be phoned in comes back to the hub for a second attempt.
What Bengaluru callers actually ask.
Do you really pick up at night, or is 24×7 just a slogan?
Really. The HSR Layout desk is staffed around the clock and late-evening pickups are the most common booking we take, because that is when people are home from work. After about 10 PM we ask for a little more notice in the far belts — Whitefield, Kengeri, Yelahanka — simply because the agent has further to come. Your parcel is booked into DTDC at the next network handover; a 2 AM pickup does not mean a 2 AM booking, and we will tell you which day it enters the network.
Which areas of Bengaluru do you cover for free pickup?
The full urban district, from Kengeri in the west to Whitefield in the east, Yelahanka in the north to Electronic City in the south. Free means free at 5 kg and above — there is no zone surcharge for being far out. Under 5 kg there is a ₹50 coordination fee. The pin codes we run most often are 560001, 560003, 560011, 560024, 560034, 560037, 560038, 560066, 560076, 560100, 560102 and 560103, but if your pin is not on that list it does not mean we do not come; call and ask.
Can I courier my work laptop out of Bengaluru?
Yes, and it is the single most common item we handle. A laptop with its battery installed inside the machine is accepted. A spare battery, a loose power bank, or any cell above 100 Wh on the air leg is not. Tell us it is a laptop when you book — we will route it on surface where the battery rules are simpler, pack it double-wall with foam corners, and mark it fragile. If your employer needs cover, ask about declared value before pickup, because the standard network liability cap is low against what a work machine costs.
I'm sending a parcel to my family for a festival. How early should I book?
A week ahead of the festival, and two weeks for the long lanes. Bengaluru's outbound volume spikes hard and predictably — Onam and Vishu to Kerala, Durga Puja to Bengal, Sankranti to the Telugu states, Chhath to Bihar, Dashain and Tihar up the Siliguri corridor. The network itself slows in those windows, so the honest advice is to send early rather than to pay for express and hope. And if it is food, send it dry: anything with ghee, oil or moisture will not travel.
Do you handle international shipping from Bengaluru?
