I’m shipping finished-leather samples to a Panki dealer — any docs?
For domestic delivery to a Kanpur dealer, you’ll need a commercial invoice with item description and value plus shipper KYC; nothing unusual. The wrinkle is if your dealer plans to onward-export those samples to USA, UK or Australia — those markets have country-specific certification (CITES if exotic, REACH-style chemical declarations, etc.). Tell us at pickup; we’ll flag any documentation that needs to be in the parcel before it leaves Udaipur.
My son is at IIT-K Kalyanpur — does that count as Kanpur city?
Yes. Kalyanpur is on the standard Kanpur last-mile and IIT-K is a regular delivery address for us. Hall/hostel-block delivery is direct; mark the AWB with hall number, room, and recipient mobile. During end-of-semester rush (early May, late November) deliveries can take an extra working day because of guard-room volume — book a day earlier if it’s urgent.
Can I ship Marwari-style ghee-laden mithai for a Kanpur wedding?
No — ghee and dairy-based sweets are treated as semi-liquid and aren’t accepted on the air or surface network. Sealed, dry sweets (kaju katli in vacuum pack, dry namkeen, mathri) are fine. If the wedding is large enough that you need ghee items at scale, those are best sent ahead with a passenger or via a dedicated foodgrade carrier — not standard courier.
