Send a parcel from Kota to Pune. We pick up free.
Roughly 1,030 kilometres south via Ratlam, Vadodara and Mumbai trunks, 3 working days on DTDC surface — 2 working days on express. Pickup from your Kota address is free for parcels of 5 kg or more.
Pickup in Kota, hubs at Mumbai, last-mile across Pune.
Pickup, Kota.
Within 60–90 minutes of your call across Talwandi, Rajeev Gandhi Nagar, Vigyan Nagar, Dadabari and the rest of the city. We bring tape, bubble wrap and a luggage scale; the parcel is sealed at your address.
Mumbai trunk transit.
Same-evening handover to DTDC Kota, overnight road movement via Ratlam and Vadodara to the Mumbai trunk hub. Pune is one DTDC hop past Mumbai, which is why this lane runs a working day longer than Kota → Mumbai.
Pune delivery.
Sortation at Pune DTDC, then last-mile to the recipient. Surface usually lands by working day three; express by day two. Hinjewadi, Magarpatta, Kharadi and Pune Cantt deliveries can stretch to evening in peak office traffic — recipient phone number on the AWB matters.
POD on WhatsApp.
Once delivered, we forward the proof of delivery (signature image and stamp) on WhatsApp the same hour.
Starting rates, Kota → Pune.
Final price depends on actual or volumetric weight (whichever is greater) plus the fuel surcharge in force on your booking date. GST is extra.

Coaching-alumni IT corporate parcels, sealed-cover paperwork, family parcels.
Coaching-alumni Pune-IT corporate
Hinjewadi and Magarpatta are full of former JEE-prep IT engineers — Allen / Resonance / Bansal alumni who cleared engineering and landed at Pune IT firms. Parents in Talwandi and Vigyan Nagar ship books, sealed dry namkeen, festival outfits and warm clothes to those alumni in Hinjewadi Phase 1/2/3, Magarpatta and Kharadi tech parks. Recipient phone on AWB is essential for security gate clearance.
Symbiosis / FLAME / IIT-Pune sealed-cover
Kota-coaching alumni at Symbiosis, FLAME, IIT-Pune, COEP, AFMC and Symbiosis Lavale need original certificates, hostel paperwork, scholarship documents posted under sealed cover. Express only — surface at 3 days is too long for time-bound submissions.
Indian-IT family parcels
Pune is a popular Indian-IT relocation city. We handle 4–8 carton consolidations for Kota families with relatives at Pune IT firms — books, kitchen kits, clothes, bedding. Itemised manifest and a single AWB chain so tracking stays clean.
Marwari business documents
Originals, signed contracts, GST notices and bank correspondence between Kota Marwari traders and Pune-Marwari trade. Express only.
Wedding shipments
Maharashtrian–Marwari weddings with Kota-side family contributions, and return shipments after the event — gift consolidation, decor returns, leftover favours. Bulk pickup over an afternoon, single GST invoice.
Pre-monsoon move-in
Students and young professionals relocating to Pune in June–August. Excess baggage by surface usually beats airline excess fees by a wide margin. Books, kitchen kits, clothes, bedding.
A short, real list.
DTDC (and every air-network courier) prohibits these. Items most often misjudged on the Kota → Pune lane:
Banned outright
- Liquids of any kind — perfumes, attars, oils, gels, hand sanitiser
- Aerosols and pressurised cans
- Cosmetics, nail polish, fragrance samples
- Flammable solids and matches
- Currency notes and gold/silver bullion
- Lithium batteries above 100 Wh on the air leg
Common Kota → Pune misjudgements
- Ghee, pickle, dairy in coaching-care boxes — semi-liquid, do not pack with regular parcels.
- Coaching-hostel ghee dabbas — fresh ghee, even sealed, is treated as liquid.
- Homemade snacks in oil — sealed dry namkeen tins are fine; oily mixes are not.
- Loose handmade incense — paste-based agarbatti is treated as flammable solid.
AWB on WhatsApp. Track on dtdc.in. POD when it lands.
The moment the parcel is booked into DTDC, we send you the AWB number on WhatsApp. Type it into the public tracker at dtdc.in any time. When delivery happens we forward the POD — signed slip or photo — within the hour. Pune monsoon (Jul–Sep) is heavy; surface may add half a day in those weeks. For Hinjewadi and Magarpatta IT-park deliveries, share the building/tower name and recipient phone — security gates won't let the rider in without a recipient call.
Specific to Kota → Pune.
Realistically, how long does Kota to Pune take?
3 working days on surface and 2 on express. The trunk runs Kota → Ratlam → Vadodara → Mumbai → Pune; the Mumbai-to-Pune leg adds a working day past the Mumbai lane. Book before noon and the consignment makes the same-day outbound from Kota, which is what holds the 3-day surface promise. Pune monsoon (Jul–Sep) can add half a day to surface.
Can you deliver inside an IT park at Hinjewadi or Magarpatta?
Yes — the AWB needs the company name, tower or building number and a recipient mobile that actually picks up. Pune IT-park security gates won't let the rider in without a recipient call from inside, so missing-phone deliveries get parked at the gate and slip a day. We've done this often enough to flag it at booking; tell us the company and we'll add it to the AWB.
We run a weekly slot to a Hinjewadi alumni network — how does that work?
We hold a fixed weekday pickup window (most clients pick Tue or Fri), the consignment is weighed and sealed at your Kota address, and it lands at the Hinjewadi recipient typically by working day 3 on surface. Single GST invoice per shipment, or consolidated monthly. For >50 kg/month volumes we share a partner-rate sheet with a fixed weekday pickup slot.
Tell us the rough weight. We'll come back in minutes.
