What you’ll need at pickup.
Customs paperwork is the most common reason an international parcel stalls. Singapore is fast when the paperwork is right. Antique-replica certification is a Jodhpur-specific extra.
KYC of the sender
One photo ID for the person whose name is on the AWB. We photograph it at pickup; not stored beyond DTDC’s record.
Commercial invoice + replica certificate
For antique-style B2B parcels: invoice listing items, quantity, value, plus a clear ‘replica / new manufacture’ certification. The recipient’s FIN or NRIC speeds clearance.
Prescription (medicines)

What Singapore doesn’t let in.
Singapore Customs is efficient but the rules are unusually strict for some categories. These are real Singaporean rules — not our caution. Items shipped against them are seized, and serious cases (especially drugs) carry severe criminal penalty for the consignee.

- Chewing gum — yes, really. Singapore’s long-standing cleanliness policy bans gum imports for non-medical purposes.
- E-cigarettes & vapes — fully banned, including pods, refills and accessories.
- Recreational drugs of any kind — death penalty for trafficking-quantity.
- Pornography & religious-disrespectful materials — refused at customs.
- Firearms, ammunition, weapons — strictly prohibited.
- Untreated wooden packaging — antique-replica items must use ISPM-15 heat-treated or kiln-dried timber.

Can I ship a Jodhpur antique-replica chest to a Singapore villa-import buyer?
Small chests yes, full-size cabinets no — courier weight / dimension limits cap individual pieces at roughly 30–40 kg actual or volumetric. Yes, since 1992. The ban is part of Singapore’s strict-cleanliness policy and is enforced. Medical and dental gum needs a prescription. Regular Wrigley’s or similar imported as a gift will be refused at customs.
