- Liquor from Puducherry's lower-tax wine boutiques — customers sometimes ask the reverse direction. Banned outright; do not pack.
- Attar bottles from the Jaipur old city / Walled City — these are oils. They cannot ship.
- Aerosols from the French-quarter cosmetic shops — same rule both ways.
- Aurobindo Ashram incense / oils — paste-based agarbatti is treated as flammable solid; oils are banned.

How long does it really take, surface vs. express?
Surface is a steady 4 working days — the lane runs Mumbai → Bangalore → Chennai → Pondy and there is no shortcut, but it does not stall mid-route. Express is 2–3 working days because the air leg replaces the Mumbai-Bangalore-Chennai surface stretch with a direct mainland flight to Chennai; the ECR last-mile into Pondy is the same. Pick express only if the day matters.
Do you deliver to Auroville, Karaikal or Yanam?
Yes via DTDC last-mile, with realistic add-ons. Auroville (~12 km from Pondy town) — same day or next morning. Karaikal (the southern Puducherry exclave near Tamil Nadu) — add 1 working day. Yanam (the Andhra-coast exclave) — add 1 working day; we route via the Vizag or Kakinada last-mile rather than via Pondy. Mahé we do not currently service.
