Common Jaipur misjudgements
- Attar bottles from the old city — these are oils. They cannot ship.
- Loose handmade incense — paste-based agarbatti is treated as flammable solid
- Packed pickle / ghee — semi-liquid; do not pack with regular parcels
- Perishables — sweets, fresh produce, anything with a use-by under a week

Can I ship Bareilly Manjha (glass-coated kite thread) on this lane?
No. We do not ship glass-coated Manjha or nylon-coated kite thread under any circumstance — in either direction. The NGT has banned it nationally and multiple state notifications reinforce this; DTDC will not accept it at the counter and any parcel found to contain it gets pulled and the booking voided. We can ship plain cotton kite line, wooden frames and non-coated craft thread — those are fine.
How does delivery into Bareilly Cantonment work?
DTDC has cantonment-station access in Bareilly, so deliveries inside the gates are routine. We mark the AWB with the unit, building or quarter number plus the recipient’s service-related ID (rank, posting). For sealed-cover Family Welfare or service paperwork, ship express only and add “HAND TO ADDRESSEE — DO NOT SLIT” on the AWB; the cantonment runner has handled this before.
Do you deliver to Pilibhit or Shahjahanpur?
Yes. Pilibhit (262001) and Shahjahanpur (242001) both fall under DTDC last-mile out of Bareilly station. Add roughly +1 working day to surface and express transit times. The booking rate stays at the Jaipur → Bareilly lane rate; there’s no separate surcharge.
