Can a Rajpur Road or Doon School area address get same-evening delivery?
On express only, and only if the booking is in our hands before 10 AM Bikaner time. Loads via Hisar and Saharanpur reach Dehradun DTDC by mid-afternoon; Doon-valley last-mile lands by evening for Rajpur Road, Vasant Vihar and the Doon School / Welham area. Surface bookings cannot do this — they are 1–2 working days. For the cleanest same-evening result, book before 10 AM and confirm the recipient is reachable on a working mobile.
How does military-cantonment delivery work for an IMA, RIMC or Forest Research Institute address?
DTDC has long-running defence-station coverage for the Dehradun area, including IMA cantonment access, RIMC, FRI and the surrounding training establishments. The route from Bikaner cantonment to IMA is well-mapped — sealed-cover paperwork moves on express, the cover is not opened in transit, the AWB is marked accordingly, and a station-receipt stamp is the POD. We need the recipient's service number / quarter number plus the gate / area name on the AWB; recipients show ID at the gate.
