Ceramic colours, frits and glaze chemicals need classified handling and are refused by the parcel network. Send the fired chip and the technical sheet; that is what the buyer can act on anyway.
- The little bottle taped to the tool — cutting oil, coolant concentrate and rust-preventive shipped alongside a new tap, reamer or die set. The tool is fine. The bottle is a liquid, and its presence makes the whole carton a liquid consignment that gets pulled at screening.
- Small welding and calibration gas cylinders — including the disposable ones that look like an aerosol tin. Any pressurised cylinder is excluded, on surface as well as air, and there is no packaging that changes it.
- Diwali fireworks and sparklers — bought in bulk in Bengaluru every October and posted north to family. Pyrotechnics are excluded from every courier network, and tendering them undeclared is a serious matter rather than a refused-parcel matter. Buy them at the destination.
- Food sent into a household observing Jain rules — not a network prohibition but a delivery one, and it costs people real money on this lane. No — Morbi is about 65 kilometres from Rajkot, sits on its own pin range and is quoted and routed as a separate lane. Both are served, transit is broadly similar, but a parcel booked to a Rajkot rate line for a Morbi address can be re-rated on arrival, which is the kind of surprise nobody enjoys on an invoice. Give us the exact pin code and the factory's name when you book. On the samples themselves: fired tile chips, shade cards, catalogues and technical documents all travel without difficulty, though fired ceramic is brittle and needs to be boxed with real padding rather than bubble wrap alone.
