Up through Hyderabad and Nagpur, then the Agra leg into DTDC’s Delhi hub. Surface moves this in 5–6 working days; the air leg out of Kempegowda cuts it to 3–4.

Last-mile from the Delhi hub. Delhi proper (110xxx) is next-day off the hub. Gurugram, Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad are separate NCR pin series and typically add a day — see the FAQ below before you assume “Delhi” covers them.

North Indian techies sending home
Bengaluru’s IT workforce is heavily North Indian, and this lane carries a steady flow of parcels back to families in Delhi — festival gifts around Diwali and Rakhi, winter clothes going the other way in reverse, documents, and things bought here that are cheaper or simply unavailable up north.
Documents for embassies and central offices
Visa paperwork, attestations, tender submissions, university transcripts and legal documents headed to embassies in Chanakyapuri, central ministries, or CBSE/UGC offices. Always express, always with the recipient’s mobile on the AWB. If there is a submission deadline, tell us — we will book air and give you the AWB the same evening.
Relocation and PG move-outs
People leaving Bengaluru for Delhi NCR jobs, or students finishing at Christ, RV, PES and BMS and heading home. Books, bedding, kitchen kits, a monitor, a fan. Consistently cheaper than airline excess baggage on the Bengaluru–Delhi sector, and nothing to drag through T2.

Filter coffee powder, dry banana chips, sealed murukku and mixture, packaged Mysore pak, sambar and rasam powder. All fine, all common, all popular with Delhi relatives. The catch is that the moment something has oil pooling or moisture in it, it stops being shippable — see the list below.

- Cosmetics, nail polish, fragrance samples
- Flammable solids and matches
- Currency notes and gold/silver bullion
- Drones and RC aircraft with installed batteries
Common Bengaluru → Delhi misjudgements
- Loose lithium batteries and power banks — by far the most frequent refusal on this lane, because it runs out of a tech city. A battery installed inside a laptop is accepted on surface; a spare cell, a loose power bank, or anything above 100 Wh on the air leg is not. Tell us at booking if a laptop is going, so we route it correctly.
- Coffee decoction and filter coffee liquid — the powder ships freely, the brewed decoction is a liquid and does not. People bottle it for family in Delhi more often than you would think.
- Coconut oil and gingelly oil — including factory-sealed bottles. Very commonly attempted on this lane alongside dry snacks. It is a liquid; leave it out.
- Wet chutney, sambar paste and pickle in oil — the dry powders are fine, the wet form is not, even in glass. Factory-sealed jars with a tax invoice are sometimes accepted on surface — ask before you pack.
- E-waste and old device returns — dead laptops, swollen batteries and scrap boards are refused outright. A functioning device with an intact battery is a different case and is fine.

The moment the parcel is booked into DTDC we send you the AWB number on WhatsApp. Type it into the public tracker at dtdc.in any time. When delivery happens we forward the POD — signed slip or photo — within the hour. For Delhi, put the recipient’s mobile number on the AWB without exception: most of the delivery area is gated societies and office receptions where the rider calls from the gate, and a parcel that cannot be phoned in gets marked undelivered and returns to the hub for a second attempt the next working day.
Specific to Bangalore → Delhi.
Does “Delhi” include Gurugram, Noida, Ghaziabad and Faridabad?
Not automatically, and this is the most common confusion on the lane. Delhi proper is the 110xxx pin series and is delivered next-day off the DTDC Delhi hub. Gurugram (122xxx), Noida (2013xx), Ghaziabad (201xxx) and Faridabad (121xxx) are separate NCR pin series — they are all served, but they typically add a working day and are billed on their own lane. Give us the exact pin code when you book and we will quote the right one rather than surprising you later.
Can I courier my work laptop from Bangalore to Delhi?
Yes, and it is one of the most frequent bookings we handle on this route. A laptop with its battery installed inside the machine is accepted. What is not accepted is a spare battery, a loose power bank, or any cell above 100 Wh travelling on the air leg. Tell us it is a laptop at the time of booking — we will route it on surface where the battery rules are easier, pack it in a double-wall carton with foam corners, and mark it fragile. If your employer needs insured transit, ask about declared-value cover before pickup, because DTDC’s standard liability cap is low relative to what a work machine costs.
How much does 10 kg cost from Bangalore to Delhi, surface versus express?
Order of magnitude: surface starts at ₹120/kg, so 10 kg is from about ₹1,200 before fuel surcharge and 18% GST, arriving in 5–6 working days. Express starts at ₹180/kg, so the same 10 kg is from about ₹1,800 before fuel and GST, arriving in 3–4. The thing to check first is volumetric weight — (L × W × H in cm) ÷ 5000. A 10 kg carton of clothes or a boxed monitor often measures out heavier than it weighs, and you are billed on whichever is greater.
