KYC of the sender

One photo ID for the person whose name is on the AWB — Aadhaar, passport or driving licence. We photograph it at pickup; not stored beyond DTDC’s record.

Commercial invoice

For commercial goods, a printed invoice listing items, quantity, HS codes and value. For gifts, a written declaration suffices but value still must be stated. Poland is in the EU — items above €150 attract VAT and possible duty under TARIC.

Recipient PESEL / NIP

The recipient’s PESEL (Polish ID number) on the invoice helps Polish Customs clear the parcel quickly; for B2B (VW-Poznań-supplier, Fiat-Tychy-supplier), the NIP is required. Medicines fall under URPL regulation — prescription copy mandatory.

What Poland doesn’t let in.

Poland is in the EU and follows TARIC rules. Two country-specific sensitivities worth noting: post-1989 Poland is strict about Soviet-glorifying media, and Nazi-era paraphernalia is prohibited under Polish law.
