On express only, and only if you book before 10 AM at Ajmer. Express moves overnight via Ratlam to the Bhopal hub, sorts onto NH30 to Jabalpur by morning, and Wright Town / Civil Lines / Cantt attempts happen the same evening. Surface is 1–2 working days. Outer pockets like Bhedaghat or far cantt areas can run a few hours later.
I bought a marble piece at Bhedaghat — how should it be packed for the journey home?
Two-layer packing: bubble wrap directly on the piece, then a corrugated outer carton with foam corners on all eight sides, FRAGILE on every face. We strongly prefer surface routing (not air) for marble and sandstone — surface handling is gentler and the day or two extra is worth the lower breakage risk. DTDC's default liability cap is limited; ask us about declared-value cover before pickup if the piece is high-value.
Care kit to a student at IIIT-DM Jabalpur — what's the realistic pattern?
IIIT-DM Jabalpur (note: not an IIT — it's the IIIT-DM at Dumna) has a central mailroom; we mark hostel, room number, student name and roll number on the AWB. A standard Ajmer → IIIT-DM care kit holds books and study materials, sealed dry food (namkeen, mathri, vacuum-packed kaju katli), kitchen tools, festival outfits and seasonal clothing. Surface gets there in two working days, express same-evening. For the July–August moving rush we do consolidated bookings — multiple boxes, one student, one invoice.
