Can a Rajpur Road or Doon School address get same-evening delivery?
On express only, and only if the booking is in our hands before 10 AM Kota time. Air loads via the Jaipur-feeder reach Delhi by mid-day and Dehradun by late afternoon; Doon-valley last-mile lands by evening for Rajpur Road, Vasant Vihar and the Doon School / Welham area. Surface bookings cannot do this — they are 2 working days. For the cleanest same-evening result, book before 10 AM and confirm the recipient is reachable on a working mobile.
What is the right Doon School / Welham / RIMC / IMA cadet care-kit pattern?
Boarding schools have item lists they accept and lists they refuse. The standard pattern that always lands is: books in one carton, school-permitted dry snacks (sealed Kota namkeen / mathri only) and toiletries in another, woollens or uniforms in a third. Skip anything wet, anything aerosol, anything in glass. Label every carton with the student / cadet name, house and section. Surface routing is fine for a planned dispatch; express only when something must be there next morning. This is a common Kota lane — coaching-parent families often vacation in Dehradun and combine the two trips.
How does military-cantonment delivery work for an IMA, RIMC or Forest Research Institute address?
DTDC has long-running defence-station coverage for the Dehradun area, including the IMA cantonment access, RIMC, FRI and the surrounding training establishments. We mark the AWB "Defence — sealed cover, do not open" where applicable; the cover is not opened in transit; a station-receipt stamp is the POD. Express service only for sealed-cover paperwork.
