How realistic is the transit time and what does express buy me?
Surface lands consistently on day 2 or 3 — Jaipur to Delhi is overnight, Delhi to Jammu is one more line-haul night, plus a working day for sortation and last-mile. Express handed to us before noon catches the same evening’s movement and is typically out for delivery in central Jammu (Gandhi Nagar, Trikuta Nagar, Bahu Plaza) the next working morning. After noon, express becomes morning of day two.
How do Vaishno Devi pilgrim parcels actually work?
We deliver to the Katra base-camp address — usually a guesthouse or a registered shop where the recipient picks up. On-site DTDC pickup or delivery beyond Katra (along the Bhawan trek) is not practical and we don’t promise it. If your recipient is travelling, we recommend coordinating a Katra collection with them by phone before the parcel lands.
