Honest numbers: 6–7 working days on surface, 3 working days on express. Madurai is roughly 2,500 km from Bikaner and there is no direct trunk — the parcel trans-ships via Jaipur → Mumbai → Bangalore (or Chennai) → Madurai. The Bikaner → Jaipur leg adds a working day over the Kota or Udaipur lanes. Don't believe sites that quote 3 days surface; that simply isn't physically possible without a same-day air booking, which costs many multiples of express.
