Send a parcel from Bangalore to Ghaziabad. We pick up free.
About 2,190 kilometres north into the 201xxx belt on the Uttar Pradesh side — 5–6 working days on DTDC surface, 3–4 by air express. This is a workshop and trading city, and the parcels reflect it. Free pickup anywhere in Bengaluru at 5 kg and above, from a desk that runs 24×7.
Pickup from Bengaluru's industrial west, trunk haul north, delivery across a spread-out 201xxx belt.
Pickup, Bengaluru.
60–90 minutes in the core city. A good share of this lane is collected from the industrial and trading side of the city — Peenya, Yeshwanthpur, Jalahalli and the Nagarbhavi stretch — where the pickup point is a shed, a workshop office or a godown rather than a house. If your unit has a security gate and a stores register, give us the contact name and we will collect against it.
Bengaluru sortation.
Booked into DTDC's Bengaluru facility the same evening. Workshop consignments are the ones most likely to be handed over late in the day, so it is worth telling us your dispatch time in advance — we can hold a slot rather than have a crated part sit overnight for the next departure.
Line-haul north.
The long trunk run up through central India into the northern network and then east of the capital into Uttar Pradesh. Surface takes 5–6 working days over that distance. Air express out of Kempegowda brings it down to 3–4, which is what a machine-down spare should always travel on.
Ghaziabad delivery.
Last-mile across a genuinely wide 201xxx spread. The planned side — Indirapuram, Vasundhara, Vaishali, Kaushambi, Raj Nagar and Kavi Nagar — is straightforward door delivery. The Sahibabad industrial area and Transport Nagar run on gate and stores timings, and the old city around Ghantaghar and Turab Nagar is narrow-lane territory with its own trading hours. Modinagar and Loni sit far out and can take an extra day.
POD on WhatsApp.
As soon as the consignment is receipted, the POD — signature or a stamped and dated slip — comes to you on WhatsApp, usually within the hour.
Starting rates, Bangalore → Ghaziabad.
Rated on actual or volumetric weight, whichever is greater, plus the fuel surcharge applying on your booking date. GST is extra.
- Standard parcel (surface) from ₹120 / kg 5–6 working days. Min billable 5 kg.
- Express parcel (air) from ₹180 / kg 3–4 working days. Door delivery.
- Bulk consignment (35 kg+) from ₹120 / kg Min 35 kg. Surface routing.
Pickup is free at your Bengaluru unit, godown or shed on this lane once the consignment crosses 5 kg. Volumetric weight is length × width × height in centimetres divided by 5000. Machine parts usually bill on actual weight because they are dense, which works in your favour here — it is the crating and the packing timber that add up, so keep the box tight to the part. Winter fog through December and January can cost the surface leg a day on the northern approach.
Machine spares, tooling and trader stock — this lane runs on workshops, not offices.
Machine spares and replacement parts
The defining shipment here. Ghaziabad's engineering and fabrication units run plant that is often bought, serviced or supplied from the south, and when something stops, a bearing, a gearbox coupling, a servo drive, a pneumatic valve or a control card goes north on express the same day. Small, dense and urgent. Tell us it is a breakdown part and we will book air, hand you the AWB the same evening and flag the consignment for a phone call on arrival rather than a routine attempt.
Tooling, dies and gauges
Cutting tools, inserts, jigs, fixtures, press dies and measuring gauges moving from Bengaluru toolrooms and vendors to Sahibabad-area shops. These need real packing, not a courier bag: hard edges cut through single-wall board, ground surfaces rust in transit, and a die that arrives chipped is scrap. We crate or double-box with edge protection and ask you to oil and wrap ground faces before the rider arrives.
Steel fittings, hardware and fasteners
Sample lots and small consignments of fasteners, flanges, clamps, brackets and fabricated sub-assemblies going to fabricators and hardware traders. Weight is the whole story — anything from 35 kg upward moves onto the bulk band, so it is usually cheaper to consolidate a month of small orders into one crate than to send four boxes across four weeks.
Trader stock for the old-city markets
Ghaziabad is a trading town as much as a manufacturing one, and shops around Turab Nagar and the Ghantaghar lanes buy from Bengaluru suppliers — electricals, small appliances, hardware, fancy goods, packaging. Invoice inside the carton and a duplicate in a pouch outside, because a shop that cannot match the box to a bill will not take delivery.
Testing and calibration returns
Instruments going south for calibration or repair and coming back, and prototype assemblies sent to a Bengaluru lab for testing. The reverse leg is where things get lost — always put both the sender's and the receiver's mobile numbers on the waybill, and keep the outward AWB, because a return consignment is a lot easier to trace when both legs are on record.
Family parcels from the Bengaluru workforce
Ghaziabad and the surrounding western UP districts send a very large number of workers to Bengaluru, and the parcels going home are the quiet half of this lane — clothes, a phone bought here, medicines with a prescription copy, a blanket before winter, sealed dry snacks. Free pickup from a PG, a shared room or a site accommodation address, same as any other.
A short, real list.
Standard network prohibitions first. The second card is aimed squarely at workshop dispatches, where almost everything refused on this lane comes off a shop floor:
Banned outright
- Liquids of any kind, drums and sample bottles included
- Aerosols, pressurised cans and gas cylinders
- Flammable solids, matches and lighters
- Corrosives, acids and industrial chemicals
- Currency notes, bullion and precious stones
- Cosmetics, fragrance and nail polish
What comes off a shop floor and cannot travel
- Aerosol lubricant and penetrating spray — the can on every workbench, and the one people tape to a spare part "so it doesn't seize". Pressurised cans are refused at screening and they hold up the whole crate.
- Cutting fluid, coolant and oil samples — sending a litre of coolant with a machine part is a routine request and a routine refusal. Any liquid is out, retail-sealed or not. Send the technical data sheet and source the fluid locally.
- Two-part epoxy, thinner, primer and adhesive tins — flammable solvents, excluded on both surface and air. The dry hardware in the same consignment is perfectly fine; the tin is what stops it.
- Lead-acid and wet-cell batteries — UPS blocks, inverter and equipment batteries. Wet cells are corrosive as well as heavy and are not carriable by any courier network.
- Welding gas cartridges and pressurised regulators with residual gas — a regulator is fine once it is purged and clean; a cartridge never is. If a fitting has held gas, say so at booking rather than after.
AWB on WhatsApp. Track on dtdc.in. POD when it lands.
The AWB number comes to you on WhatsApp the moment the consignment is booked into DTDC, you can check it any time at dtdc.in, and we forward the POD image within an hour of it being signed. Ghaziabad's last mile is two cities in one and it pays to know which one you are shipping into. The planned colonies — Indirapuram, Vasundhara, Vaishali, Raj Nagar — are ordinary apartment and house deliveries where a tower and flat number plus a mobile is enough. The old town is not: the lanes behind Ghantaghar and around Turab Nagar are too narrow for a delivery vehicle, so the rider parks and walks, and a shop address there needs the market name, the shop number and a phone answered from behind the counter during trading hours. Industrial addresses in Sahibabad and Transport Nagar need the plot number, the unit's registered name and the stores contact, because the receiving desk closes before the shift does.
Specific to Bangalore → Ghaziabad.
How fast can you get an urgent machine spare from Bangalore to a Sahibabad unit?
Three to four working days on air express, and the two things that decide whether you get the shorter end of that are the booking time and the receiving window. Call us early enough in the day that the part makes tonight's departure — we pick up in 60 to 90 minutes across the city, faster from the Peenya and Yeshwanthpur side where a lot of these parts originate — and give us the stores contact's mobile at the Ghaziabad end. Industrial addresses there work on a goods-inward window that usually shuts well before the shift ends, and a part that reaches the city after the window closes waits until the next working day even though it is physically a few kilometres from your machine. Tell us it is a breakdown item and we will flag it for a call-ahead on arrival instead of a routine delivery attempt.
Is Indirapuram, Vasundhara or Vaishali part of the Ghaziabad booking?
Yes — all of them sit inside the Ghaziabad 201xxx belt and are quoted on this lane at the same ~2,190 km, 5–6 day surface and 3–4 day express window. They confuse people because they physically adjoin Delhi and Noida and residents often describe themselves as living in "Delhi NCR", but for a waybill they are Ghaziabad addresses on the Uttar Pradesh side. The ones to watch are the far ends of the district: Modinagar, Muradnagar and Loni are served but sit well out from the main delivery beat and can take an additional day. Send us the six-digit pin with the booking and we will tell you before pickup which side of that line your address falls on.
Can I send a heavy crated consignment, and what's the cheapest way to do it?
Yes. There is no upper weight limit on this lane, and anything from 35 kg upward moves onto the bulk band at ₹120/kg on surface, which is where most workshop consignments belong. Three things save money. First, consolidate — one 60 kg crate beats three 20 kg boxes on both rate and handling. Second, keep the packaging tight to the goods; you are billed on actual or volumetric weight, whichever is greater, and over-generous crating with timber and voids pushes the volumetric number up for no reason. Third, send us the crate dimensions and weight on WhatsApp before we come, so we quote the number you will actually be charged rather than a guess. For commercial goods, remember the tax invoice inside and outside the crate and the e-way bill where the consignment value crosses ₹50,000 — that is on your GSTIN as consignor, not ours.
Tell us the rough weight. We'll come back in minutes.

WhatsApp us the pickup address, the weight and what is inside, or call and we will book it over the phone. The Bengaluru desk is open 24×7, so an after-shift collection is a normal booking here, not a special request.
